Precious Pearls of Africa
"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." Mark 16:15

History of Gospel Messengers
Gospel Messengers was founded by the late Rev. Ezekiel Mbuga in 1981. Rev. Mbuga endured the great torture and persecution of the Church of Christ during the reign of Idi Amin. He was imprisoned for taking his stand for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In 1976 the persecution began and reached its climax in 1978. Born again Christians were killed and churches were totally burned. Many of the church leaders and saints were imprisoned, including Rev. Mbuga. While in prison, the voice of the Lord soke to him to move out and set this Gospel of Righteousness and Holiness to cover the world. After Rev. Mbuga's death, his son, Moses Ssemanda, was called by God to continue with the work of the gospel that his father began.
Moses accepted the challenge to carry on the work of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The work encompassed over seeing the three churches that were in place then, but has not grown to include 80 churches and 8 schools for the needy and orphans attached to these churches.
Pastor Moses and his wife, Hopkins, have been married since 1992. They have eight children, 7 of which are adopted. Moses is a well-disciplined visionary man who lives by example maintaining a high standard of integrity and Godly character. His God anointed ministry of preaching the Word of God and reaching out to the needy has had a great impact on thousands of people. This has been possible through his love and obedience to the Holy Spirit.
